The current home on this property was designed by an architect that studied under Frank Lloyd Wright, and built by Bruce Hahn and late historian Don Clowser (be sure to visit Don's outstanding collection of Native and Early White American artifacts at the Days of ’76 Museum -- north end of Main). The style demonstrates a modern merger of beauty and functionality resulting in exceptional energy conservation through passive solar design.

The greatroom architecture combines kitchen, dining room, living room and sunroom. The architecture utilizes materials with high thermal gain and natural convection properties for optimal heat gain and uniform circulation throughout the three-level living area. The interior design incorporates several elements recycled from local history. Beams used in the vaulted ceilings were transported to the building site from a local historic site. gymnasium. The entire structure is burmed into the steep hillside of aspen, oak, ash, ponderosa pine, birch, and woodbine to the north and west to enhance thermal efficiency, aesthetics and privacy.
