Fun is always close at hand when you're in Deadwood.
It's as easy to find as the next gaming hall, restaurant or club.
But every so often Deadwood pulls out all the stops and plans the
kind of party that will make you want to mark it on your calendar,
take time off work, drive all night if you have to.

Historic
Deadwood-Lead Arts Council
Opera House & Arts Council Announce Spring
Musical "The Music Man"
Performance Dates: April 30 (dress rehearsal); May 1-3; 8-10; 15-17.
Based on a theme of "Looking Forward... to Opening
Night" and celebrating Lead's timeless spirit of rejuvenation,
the Historic Homestake Opera House Society board of directors, in
conjunction with the Historic Deadwood-Lead Arts Council and The
Gold Camp Players are very proud to announce the May 2009 production
of Meredith Willson's "The Music Man."
In May 2008 the production of "Fiddler On the
Roof" by the Historic Homestake Opera House (HHOH) and Historic
Deadwood-Lead Arts Council (HDLAC) drew media attention because
of its historic nature. The show was the first community theatre
production in 25 years, due to a fire that almost destroyed the
building in 1984. Because of the success of the 2008 musical, the
board of directors for both the HHOH and HDLAC have planned to host
a spring musical every year.
